Different Authors have different opinions. Not really being hypocritical at all.

Love how that 20-20 hindsight and common sense comes back at selected times.

CNN publishes it, so they own it.

Everyone does have access to paid family leave.

As you work, you put a little bit of your pay in a seperate account, and when you need to take family leave, you pay yourself.

It's essentially the same as when your employer offers it, but you have more control over it.

I'm not about to declare this as authentic BUT if it was, it's incredibly hypocritical.

If you look at that last one, it's written by someone from the Cato Institute. Google tells me it is libertarian and moderate right wing. In the opinion section of CNN. Where it's usual to have differing viewpoints from several sides. The first is also an opinion piece.

The byline also says "The views expressed in this commentary are solely those of the author.", so CNN is perfectly reasonable in still posting it, despite their usual bias or whatever you attribute to them.

If you actually read the articles, I don't see any contradiction. One is discussing the fact that paid family leave should be available to all.

The other is a discussion of potential side effects of that kind of thing on women. It also offers some suggestions for ways to address these side effects.

Of course - one would know this if you read beyond the titles.

It's because CNN doesn't want people to think beyond the titles. That's the problem.
