this guy seems like the type of people that would be better off representing the Democrats, along with a few others I have seen

I liked him and I may have voted for him, if the left had given him the time of day. The left lost, because they only think one way......."a woman has to win or I will die!" I actually, saw and heard a few people stating this!

A large portion of registered Democrats actually are sane, moderate people and do work for a living. They care about the country and the future. Webb would have been a great candidate to represent these people, and would have picked up a good number of Republicans that ended up voting for Trump. Sadly, the far left extremist nuts of the Democrat party have largely taken over. They insisted on an avowed socialist loon, while the corporate Dems insisted on Clinton. This effectively shut out Webb, or any other moderate, non-establishment candidate, no matter how qualified.

I hope he tries again in 2020.

I liked Jim Webb also---but he dropped out after the first debate and didn't receive much attention.

He does seem like a very reasonable guy, almost Republican-like. The moonbats that have pushed the democratic party futher and further left though won't find him appealing enough to nominate him.

He immediately saw the futility of staying in a "race" that was completely rigged to hand the nomination to Hillary Clinton. They were going to give it to her whether she won the popular vote or not.

The beautiful irony of this is that Webb would have beaten Trump, and maybe any other Republican. The DNC really did more to get Trump elected than the RNC. We should always thank the Dems for two things. The complete stupidity of their leadership for allowing the Clintons to destroy the party, and the utter laziness of their followers for not getting their rear ends off the couch to vote(except in Ca).

Thank you, stupid and lazy democrats. We really could not have done it without you😉

I've always liked Webb. I was disappointed how frustrated he got in the first debate, though. I wish he'd it stuck out to make his case. And he's dead-on about the stratification within races and the perception that there's an economic monolith.

Webb/Gabbard 2020? I'm a (reluctant) Trump voter, and would have to research both of them more, but from what I know now would vote for them over many in this year's Republican primary.

I did some work for Webb in 2016. He is stand up guy, a patriot, finds a good comfortable middle ground that I think works for a majority of Americans in his policy stances.
