Well at least his Twitter was not horrible, just a bad premise that could easily blow up in Republican Senator's faces if people don't like healthcare reform or tax reform to help the rich. That said, Trump's tax plan is still shrouded in mystery.

Dems would do it? Except they've held majority control of the Senate a lot over the past 100 years and never felt the need .

It's short-sighted for either party. The senate was designed to be a difficult place.

It's sad that Trump thinks either plan has the votes to even get to 51.

The Senate would never get 51 votes to pass them but Trump is too stupid to realize this.

I agree with President Trump, still highly doubt the HORRIBLE health plan will even get 51 GOP votes.

Exactly. Not all Republicans are as stupid as the one in the White House.

Uh no. Stall as long as we can till the mid term elections. Not a fan of the proposed healthcare and tax reforms. Hopefully can change the Senate with new ideas from new members of the Senate in 2018.

I think without some changes it is unlikely he would have the votes to get any of this passed but the title of this tread is misleading to say the least. he isn't asking for a change in the rules, he is asking them to apply a rarely used rule. Well I guess he is asking for a change as this is not the way bills are normally passed.

McConnell is dead-set against this, knowing the balance could tip in the other direction some day. The 60 vote rule has worked well for decades. If President Bonkers can't get his proposals passed, it's because they are bad bills.

Very true but he's like a kid with a new toy, he thinks this is a family run business. If they pass the bill in it's present form the democrats would be the ones having a kegger. Trump isn't up for reelection until 2020, does he even realize they will be up for election again in 2018.

McConnell wants no part of this turd that the house sent him, they just left all the dirty work for the senate but I don't see anything getting passed.
