I can excuse the cultists for their continued support, but Republicans like this are, in my mind, much worse, because you know that on some level they know better. But party must always, always come first.
I remember about 18 months or so ago, I made the comment that I thought that Trump actually stood a decent chance of getting the Republican nomination. The poster you are referring to admonished me in a rather schoolmarmish way that she knew politics and the Republican party she knew would not nominate someone like Trump and I was way off base. But like you said, once he actually got the nomination, that changed on a dime.

McConnell wants no part of this turd that the house sent him, they just left all the dirty work for the senate but I don't see anything getting passed.
I hope not. Their AHCA is a disaster and any tax cut plan the Freedom Caucus is likely to get behind would have sane Republicans hiding in the shrubbery.

What else they got going? Rolling back banking regulations. How's that coming along?

Nope.

The Constitution itself directly allows each house to determine the rules of its proceedings:

from Article One, Section 5 of the U.S. Constitution: "Each House may determine the rules of its proceedings".

If they don't wanna pay for birth control for women, they shouldn't be paying for ED meds for men.

They changed the rules on federal judges and other appointments and at least they had a reason based on the history and republicans filibustering, they thought the DC court of appeals could operate 3 judges short for 8 years.

The GOP already went to the next level with the supreme court, if you want the party in charge to run over everyone be my guest but just remember as Mitch McConnell stated, they will not be the majority forever.

There better be a very good reason for going with the simple majority, this is just a bit premature. Besides it is even doubtful that they will ever have a replacement within their own party.

Exactly.

Trump didn't know that.
