If it is anything like the polling a year ago, add 12-13 to the number they give Trump, for the actual results.
Polling data for the national election was very close to the total vote tallys. Where they failed was in state-level totals, which is important in a winner-take-all EC election. And when you consider the thin margins that he won by in some key states, the performance was not as bad as you'd think.
Either way, that doesn't matter for a national approval poll. And your statement of adding an arbitrary amount of percentage points is nonsensical (12-13? Did you just pull that off of your behind?).
The bad news for Trump is that his total vote tally has very likely come down significantly from last November. He would likely struggle to win an election held today - although, of course, it would depend on the candidate running against him.
