In hindsight, what do you think about Bill Clinton's impeachment scandal and do you think it was justified? Or, was it just Gingrich and the Republicans trying to overthrow a democratically elected and very popular President?

Unlike Nixon and potentially Trump, Bill Clinton's impeachment was not related to any matters of national security or his job performance. He did lie under oath. The kicker is that it was about an affair that had little to do with his performance as President.

Even though I was a young adult at the time, I don't remember the details.

I though Clinton was stupid for lying, so he did commit the crime of perjury. I'm not sure his lie about his behavior with Lewinsky was damaging to the nation nor did it create instability or a threat. So, basically, I thought it was a concerted effort to overthrow a Democratic president.

I think the hypocrisy of Gingrich witch hunting an adulterer is a fine example of how dysfunctional Congress and government in general has become. I don't think he should have lied but I don't think his affair was any business of Congress either.

The Pubs embarrassed themselves on this one. If all you have is a BJ...

If Clinton could be impeached for lying about a BJ, just imagine what they will do to Trump. Sessions is done for, too.

Oh, wait. This isn't about what's good for America. It's about what's good for the party. Trump and Sessions walk.

Clinton was raised in the South. A Southern boy never tells on a girl, they respect her identity. Besides, I imagine Hillary gave him hell.

Got to give it Slick Willie for having no problem appearing on Prime Time TV and tell this lie. There's a reason that "Clinton" is synonymous with liar. None do it better.

Should he have been impeached for it. I don't think so. And I do take note that it was a Republican Senate which did not remove him from office once the House had impeached him.

Hell is a very mild description of what Hillary did to Bill. Ol' Billy was thinking with the little head and was caught by a woman in love with power. None of this is worthy of impeachment. Impeaching politicians for lying would result in very few politicians.

While we are at it neither is President Trump. His major problem is he is a delusional lying narcissist unable to get past his own self and the needs of his Russian controllers. He needs a mental reconstruction before he can actually understand what he is doing but not why he is doing it.

I expect integrity from a president. Lie under oath and disrespect the office and you degrade the respectability of the position of president. So for that I think it was just.

Had he had a affair in some hotel room, I wouldn't have really cared.

If anything solid comes out against Trump then I say the same thing. The position is higher than the person.

Let's talk about Grover Cleveland.

He had an affair with a woman he wasn't married to. His opponents said he fathered a child out of wedlock.

The slogan Cleveland's detractors made was "Ma! Ma! Where's my Pa?!"

Hillary could care less. They have a marriage of convenience.
