"referred to" ? Anyone can slander character.

The vast majority of comments on Comey have been very complimentary and he conducted himself very professionally during his testimony. Trump has praised him previously. Not a single GOP Congressman attacked his credibility or veracity or professionalism in the past few days. They were quite receptive to his testimony and the really good stuff will be done behind closed doors.

You are correct. Comey just testified under oath, in front of a room full of lawyers, without refusing to answer any questions or even a whiff of perjury. They were even deferential to him.

I believe it is the GOP Congress that wants Trump out of the way more than anyone. Dems understand that Trump is the GOPs worst enemy and is causing the GOP more grief, from within, than they (Dems) could do from without.

And I think that we shall not be hearing too many more Tweets from The Donald. I believe that the lawyers he has hired are insisting that he NOT Tweet about any of this or anything that will make their job even harder.

Which is pretty good evidence that the people he has hired are convinced that Trump is damaging himself unwittingly. This is not a sign of cleverness or keen understanding on Trump's part.

Is it his fault that his opponents don't accept the election results?
What is his fault is how he ran his campaign "Little Rubio", "birtherism", "Lyin' Ted", deeply alienating the media, claiming the election is rigged (until he saw the outcome). I could go on for days about the way he fanned the flames of discontent and divisiveness.

It is "accepted" that he is in the WH by the vast majority of opponents. His actions and behaviors are being investigated by 5 separate commissions, mostly his own party.

Smart people do not ask for personal loyalty oaths and go anywhere near independent FBI investigations into their personal interests. You are implying that this is a"hit job" without actually saying it. Very real legal and ethical issues are being explored here that no American should be taking lightly.

He did this to himself and the writing was on the wall years in advance. Yes, his detractors seized on it, as should be expected. To me, the fact he gave them so much to work with is not inconsequential.

Trump never once asked about what the Russians were up to and how it could be prevented in the future.

Trump's lack of curiosity is stunning.

Either he is blissfully clueless about what being POTUS is all about or he already knew what the Russians were up to and has no intention of trying to stop it.

In the very beginning of his testimony, he bought up the fact that he was in his office and a collegue of his walks in the NY Times and asks Comey, "Did you hear or read this story". Comey says, No, what? And he proceeds to tell Comey about this whole Russian Affair that the NY Times ran?

Either he is lying or he proves how corrupt the Media is?

I believe they all want Trump out....and GOP's are just pretending to like him for votes, honestly, Ryan and the rest of them are snakes.

This one sided business of GOP's vs. Dems is a dog and pony show....

This is the sort of thing that investigators consider when they are looking at someone for killing their wife or children. Acts of ommision!

1. Not a single Committee Republican implied or alleged that Comey lied or that Trump told the truth. < A VERY big deal

2. Based on classified intel, the FBI decided that AG Sessions could not participate in the Russia probe or receive key intel from it. < An even bigger deal

3. The POTUS is, in fact, under criminal investigation for Felony Obstruction of Justice by the Special Counsel. Who by all accounts is extremely capable and competent.

4. Trump never talked to Comey about any way to stop the Russians election interference or expressed any concern about this critical issue. Only about the investigation into HIM and his appointees.

5. The issue of whether there are recordings is now part of the investigation. I suspect there will be supoenaes soon.

6. Concerns arose about why and how Sessions remained INVOLVED in the Russia investigation AFTER his RECUSAL.

7. Trump told no one in his administration that he was going to inappropriately discuss the Flynn investigation and made everyone else leave the room.

8. Sessions refused to intervene to keep Trump away from an official FBI investigation into Trump's own appointee.

9. There is substantial evidence that witnesses, who have yet to testify (Sessions, Kushner, Priebus) knew that Trump was acting inappropriately.

10. Trump seems obsessed with the single allegation from a dossier accusing him of treason: that he consorted with Russian hookers. You can bet that if he did, Putin has the goods.

11. Of the THOUSANDS of open FBI investigations, Trump only discussed one with Comey: his own case!

12. Trump lied on national TV about seeking a loyalty oath in violation of his Oath of Office.

13. Trump's own Tweets led to appointment of the Special Counsel. Just another example of extremely poor judgment by the top world leader.
Did you get all these "statements of FACT " from the NYTimes, CNN or the Wash Post?

Then there are the attempts to ease sanctions before even finding out what went on.

State Dept. was tasked with looking into returning the two Long Island compounds that the Russians claimed they used for R&R but was actually a hangout for spies.

Trump administration considers easing some sanctions on Russia - LA Times

If Russians spies need R&R from their overburdened life of entertaining nincompoops in Washington D.C., let them go home to Russia.

I said they were statements of "fact"?

Poor inference. Poor comprehension. Poor reading skills.

And no attempt to address any of them. SAD (or sick)
