CNN was the go to network for most people up until about 10 years ago. What happened?
They stopped reporting news. It doesn't even resemble what it used to be way back in the day when I first started watching them. This was a network that was cutting edge and had no-nonsense anchors who were objective. The only holdover from that once-great period, Wolf Blitzer (who, 27 years ago, was a field reporter for the network), has gone off the deep end.
Even when that channel is on at restaurants, I would just turn my seat the other way. No way I'm watching that network ever again.
One lib chose to comment, but where are all of the other tin foil hat libs that start endless anti Trump threads?
Crickets...
I'll repeat what I wrote on another similar thread:
Retractions are what reputable news organizations do.
The problem with conservatives is that they are now so inculcated in the ways of right-wing media, like Breitbart, InfoWars, World News Daily and numerous fake news sites, that they have forgotten how real news organizations act.
In the world of24/7 news cycles mistakes will happen. I have news for right-wing critics: news organizations are made of people and people occasionally make mistakes.
We could have only one government sanctioned newspaper or TV station, but we wouldn't have a free republic then, would we.
CNN used to be credible. In the 90's. WTH happened. Daily Wire
No they weren't.
They pulled a lot of the same fake crap back then, it is just that back then the amount of people online and the accessible nature of smart phones wasn't available to catch them in the act as much.
They love to jump to conclusions that support their "I hate Trump" agenda.
------------
CNN has corrected a Tuesday report after the release of former FBI Director James Comey's opening statement for his Thursday testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee contradicted the report's sources.
Isn't that what a legit news cite does? If incorrect, they 'correct' the record?
From my experience, the 'fake' news sites never 'correct' themselves.
Indeed, you reinforce my reliance on 'traditional' news sources.
