There’s another pertinent caveat worth mentioning, raised by Harvard University’s Laurence Tribe.
Memo to Trump: Anyone you pardon can be compelled to testify without any grant of immunity, and that testimony could undo you.
Analysis | Can Trump pardon anyone? Himself? Can he fire Mueller? Your questions, answered.

Love it!
That last part is very interesting.

Oh, I think it will make a difference alright....Now Mueller know exactly what to look at.

But, but, but Hillary, is getting old and tired....Trump is the topic today.

Check the title of the thread. Nothing there about telling lies about the Clintons. There are other threads for that.

I think the uranium deal was far too complicated for either this poster or Trump himself to understand...Of course Trump may have just been lying....He has been know to lie on occasion.

I suspect Mueller was already looking at Trump's finances.

Hence there is no reason that Trump would be doing this. It doesn't make any sense.

It's fake news created by a "journalist" who obviously slept during high school civics.
It's not silly when you remember that Trump unlikely was very familiar with the rules and structure of our federal government before speaking to others about it. Including, of course, the impeachment process or his pardon power.

It would not be a shocking revelation to me if it was revealed that Trump thought it possible to pardon himself of everything in the investigation to "make it just disappear".

The fact that he was inquiring about his pardon power to me is just another illustration (in a long series of illustrations) of his naivety and lack of qualification for the office.

If Trump fires Mueller and/or pardons himself or the kids, we will be facing a constitutional crisis.

Republicans who will not stand for this would be wise to make that clear right now.

Trump is running scared now. He doesn't want anyone looking at his taxes. We all know why. The sons have said before the Russians loaned money to their dad when the American banks would not. Trump is up to his eyeballs with money laundering and corruption..
