There is a "Whole Paycheck" near here. I rarely shop there because of the very high prices. Fortunately we have other options for fresh organic local produce and food.

Whole Foods, wow. One thing is for certain, you won't read any editorials criticizing Amazon in the Washington Post.

Bezos is a smart guy.

Makes sense, Amazon Fresh has a lot of organic stuff and is pricey. Mixing Amazon Fresh with Whole Foods will be an easy transition for Fresh customers. Anywhere a Whole Foods lives, so too will Amazon Fresh. Other than attitude toward low level employees, the companies cultures are compatible. Both are liberal, both are high quality, both have good customer service. Amazon Fresh has had issues with supply and consistency of price. Staples like non-organic milk can go up or down by over $1 almost daily, often there are short periods of no supply, same with many other staples. Whole Foods will have supplier links to prevent this from happening.

Whole Foods doesn't care about you. They love the millennials and the millennials love Whole Foods.

Amazon is buying Whole Foods.

The online giant is buying the high-end grocer for $42 a share, valuing the company at $13.7 billion.

Shares of the grocer were trading at $33.06 a share before the deal was announced, so the deal represents a 27% premium on its closing price yesterday.

this situation reminds me of 1998-99 when AOL was drowing in money and buying everything in sight.

The Walmart-Amazon wars are heating up. Both want to be your first choice when ordering online. Walmart has dropped it's shipping fees, has a Ship To Store Pick Up Discount (seems to be 1-5% on eligible items) , and by app or PC you can order groceries in advance and get curbside pickup at the store (no going inside and waiting in line). Online grocery ordering is going to boom and Amazon wants to compete. This is a good and strategic move.

Hell NO, wth is going on. I love Whole Foods, Amazon needs to keep it's dirty paws off of it, this is horrible.
