They really shouldn't of been allowed to stay in the first place.

Obama admin created a mess with this .

We really just use need to enforce law and order and cut all funding to people here illegally .

Vintage Trump. One day after saying DACA stays, they now say may be not. Of all the immigration cases, these are perhaps the hardest to resolve.

Kelly of DHS has already asked Congress to codify the Dreamers. They are staying. It may be part of a compromise vote for other issues like tax reform, healthcare, etc. Nationwide DACA is popular.

Poll: Trump’s Decision on Dreamers Is a Popular One — Even Among His Base
CAMERON EASLEY | JUNE 16, 2017 | 12:36 PM
Quote:
The Trump administration is continuing an Obama-era program shielding “Dreamers,” the so-called undocumented immigrants who came to the United States illegally as children. It’s a move likely to be embraced by a large segment of the American public — even among President Donald Trump’s own base — Morning Consult polling indicates.

In a memo Thursday night, the Department of Homeland Security announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, also known as DACA, would remain in effect, although a White House official told Reuters Friday that “no final determination has been made.” Trump had previously signaled there would be little change to U.S. policy on the program, pledging in December to “work something out.”

There was also broad support in favor of the Dreamers among the voters who helped elect Trump in November: 73 percent of those voters said the Dreamers should be allowed to say in the country, with almost half (48 percent) of those voters also saying they should have a path to becoming U.S. citizens.

Frankly these are the easiest to solve. Let 'em stay.

He needs to make up his mind one way or the other. As a Democrat, I wish they had never been allowed here in the first place but if it's so impossible to deport all of them, then let them stay and deport the rest. Deport the parents who did break the law--yes it's suffering, but most of us who had grandparents who were immigrants know that our grandparents suffered at first.

Many of our grandparents left everything they had, including their families. BUT they came LEGALLY. They had a sponsor who guaranteed them a JOB. They had to struggle but by the second generation, it got better.

These illegals have no right to be here and it's wrong to encourage them by offering free tuition or drivers' licenses. What needs to be fixed is the immigration system so that immigrants can come in LEGALLY again like many of our grandparents did. LEGAL immigration is fine. But do something about the ILLEGAL situation--they are dragging this country down.

Okay, but make them work and pay the fees that are required of everyone else who immigrates to this country.

A path to becoming a legal permanent resident with a green card, then study to become a US citizen--pay those fees too. It isn't their fault if they were brought here by their parents. Now it's also time to stop this from happening over and over again. It's never going to go away if we keep letting illegals sneak in and if we don't fix the immigration system to allow more people to come legally if they meet the standards.

Great post.

The problem too is that many people today know nothing of history .

The history they do know is often twisted .

I can't say my issue with Trump any better than you did. He is a hypocritical flip-flipped and done this so many times on many different issues.
