Wait, what? Why does this matter? A terrorist only "matters" if he is formally a member of a hate organization? So if 9-11 were planned and executed without the approval and funding of Bin Laden it wouldn't be a terror attack?
When was the last time an actual member of ISIS committed a terrorist attack in the U.S. or Europe? Not someone who agrees with/follows ISIS, but an actual ISIS associate? The previous British attacks were NOT ISIS, the German attack around the holidays was NOT ISIS.
There has never, ever been an ISIS attack in the U.S., using your logic. We are totally safe, since there have been 0 attacks since 9-11 using your logic.
Why are the Muslim attackers not "just another wingnut"? There's no difference, you're just trying to justify hatred of Muslims.
If we find out this guy is formally a member of some white nationalist organization I don't doubt you'll move the goalposts and try another rationalization why this doesn't count as terror.

It IS high time, however, that we leave "Muslim nations" alone. Not like they actually contribute anything to humanity anyway, other than oil, more people, and terror. If we can make a mutual agreement that they stay the hell away from us and we stay the hell away from them, I'd be all for it.
Closing the border would raise crime, not lower it. Immigrants have like 1/4 the murder rate of native-born Americans. The safest U.S. cities are those with the most immigrants.
We are the ones harming us. If you care about safety you would have to deport Americans and replace them with more immigrants. That would actually make America much safer.
But agreed on the "what the hell is going on" statement. Why the hell are Americans killing each other and then blaming foreigners for their stupidity? That's the real question.

The attacker is a UK born, ultra conservative right-winger. His plan was to "kill all Muslims" as he jumped the curb onto the sidewalk with his van and ran over 10 people.
Closing the border would be economically devastating, especially to areas that voted for Trump. This is a great way to damage the US far more than terrorism ever could.

If the media weren't so busy fellating Muslims and worrying about their feelings all day, they would have been honest to point out that of SEVENTY Muslim-majority nations, a travel ban applied to just a handful.
If people like you weren't so busy normalizing the regressive and anti-progressive religion of Islam, they would have understood that travel of ALL people from those countries (Muslim or not... though let's be honest, religious minorities don't really exist much in the Middle East anymore)... not just Muslims.
If we were to do a PER CAPITA analysis of which groups of people were ACTUALLY more likely to do any of the following:
1) Rape;
2) Murder;
3) Terrorism
.... "white Christian men" would be very far down the list.
Now, if you were trying to look for people who did embezzlement or something like that....then you'd target white men.

History also teaches us about what happens when civilizations and cultures clash, and you have unfettered immigration from people who have no intention of assimilating.
The entire history of Islam and its 1400 years of expansionist wars, colonialism, etc. should be enough to help you out with that one.
But if that's too "icky" for you because you're afraid of looking racist or feel more comfortable reveling in white guilt, just look then to what the Europeans did in the New World.

Again, you have provided no distinction to justify your treating such incidents differently. If a terrorist blows up my family, why does it matter if they're Muslim or white nationalist?
