Global warming is not a religion but an irrefutable FACT.
As to what is causing it and as to how today's example is any different from those periods of history (prior to man) showing global warming prior to this one ........is up for further study.
Those studies will proceed regardless of "head-in-the-sand" opponents.

Uhm... If anyone has their heads up their ass, it would be those demanding drastic solutions to an undefined problem.

The problem is pretty well defined, actually. Putting more CO2 into the atmosphere enhances the greenhouse effect, raising the earth's temperature. Not complicated.
Drastic solutions are not necessary. All we need to do is gradually replace coal and gas power plants with nuclear plants. There are advanced nuclear reactor designs that are even safer than the ones we have now. Ships, trucks, and airplanes will still be reliant on petroleum, but rail transport could be electrified like it is in Europe and Japan. Battery technology keeps improving and truly practical electric cars could be a reality within a few decades.
Simple population control could gradually reduce the area of land needed for farming, allowing reforestation (absorbing CO2). Rich countries already have declining "native" populations; if developing societies accepted contraception, their exploding population growth could slow. Smaller families have other benefits as well.
We probably won't be able to prevent global warming 100%, since there are no viable replacements for fossil fuels for some applications (think jet aircraft). But the rate of warming could be kept to a slow pace, giving ecosystems and humans more time to adapt.

Where in my post did you get the idea I was suggesting anything more than "further study" of this occurrence, as just one of many preceding it in the plant's history?
It is happening and simply taking the idea of ignoring it and it's possible consequences of loss of current land mass and encroachment of seas until your nose is under water seems more than just a little "head up your arse" to me.
An approach I favour is knowing as much about something having the potential to radically, perhaps even drastically, bring change to my lifestyle so as to prepare. Move to a mountain, buy a bigger trash pump, put pontoons under my ranch bungalow and maybe buy a barge home......though herding and collecting both sexes of different species animals is not in my game plan.
This has been covered over and over here. He has a opinion. And its not a educated one. physics and climate science are not remotely the same.
are you insane? physics and climate science are not remotely the same?
