Why would a Canadian even care - the flag means most to those in the South of the US and is part of their history and culture.
All this erasing of history and taking offence over a flag is pathetic.
I suspect this woman would also be mad if she visited a Buddhist or Hindhu Temple and saw Swastikas, even though the swastika symbol first appears in the archaeological record around 3000 BC and is of spiritual significance to Indian religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism.
NOT...... now she can just shut the hell up instead of 'get a life'.
For those that want to pick and choose history and eliminate any aspect of it that 'offends' their sensibilities, then we get to pick and choose as well.
It's nice to have safe targets like confederate flags to direct your hate against.
I can understand that, but not completely in this context.
Ironic that at least to her kids the much bigger risk are song lyrics and culture calling them ho's, n8ggas and threatening violence over any disagreement.
People love to get outraged. Doesn't matter if they're white, black or polka dot....seen this growing up with a bunch of white people too.
Just people looking for a chance to be indignant over something that is tiny compared to what they face in every day life.
I'm not advocating a ban. All I'm saying is I can understand how that might be a shock to come across that car for a young Canadian who probably never even heard of The Dukes of Hazard. She walks up and sees that and thinks, oh my god, there has to be a white supremacist here. It would be scary without knowing that some people might just like the car and are completely thoughtless about the symbolism.

The Dukes of Hazard is well known throughout the Western World, it was exported to television channels across the globe including the UK and there was an albeit poor film made in more recent times.
What a whiney POS! LOL! Why didn't she just leave if it offended her so badly? Wonder how long she served in slavery. No, she just wanted to make a big scene and a fool of herself. They should have thrown her out. On her head!

i think instead that people need to learn the history behind the confederate flag, and i mean the REAL history, not what some have inferred through indoctrination.
