People on breadlines are qualifying for Medicaid so your post is disingenuous. Of course COBRA is not free. Neither is health care.

Sounds like he talks about the Senate version of the Obamacare repeal and ignores the US House version.
Let's just call it Waldocare.

COBRA is even more expensive than buying your own individual policy. Someone making $15/hour is not paying for continuous coverage through COBRA.

Here's a question for you. Why do you believe that the ability to receive affordable healthcare should be attached to employment?

judging by Dbones super hardline support for TRUMPCARE, i have been assuming Dbones is very wealthy, as they are pretty much the only people who truely gain from this .

Who knows, maybe Dbones just does not review actual policy and is more of a cheerleader who will one day awake to find he or his are not covered and will have to give up his life savings, lose his home etc to pay for a few more years...

who knows...

either way TRUMP lied and it not even trying to deliver what he promised. If trump really tried to delivery a better plan for EVERYONE and it was real? He would get 100% of all democrat votes. every dem already knows that....

The average person really can't afford COBRA coverage, once they're no longer employed. Remember how many people live paycheck to paycheck because wages have not kept up with rising costs these last 40 years! For most folks, shelling out hundreds or a couple thousand a month just isn't possible! Not all of us are upper-middle class with lovely stock portfolios that could float us for a few months or a year! Quickly getting a new job that pays as well as the old one, for a person in their 50's, is about as likely as winning the Powerball Lottery! Must be nice to be in the healthy financial bubble!

Why should I pay for healthcare for someone else who does not make sound financial choices?

This is a sad state of affairs for people for sure. I am not rich but realize my choices are MINE and do not expect others to foot any bill for me.

Sweet lord, the lack of self-awareness is astounding. You live in an organized society largely free of conflict, famine and are insured property rights and a largely impartial judiciary. You drive on roads, fly in safe skies, and eat meat that mostly free of harmful bacteria. You walk on sidewalks, take pills that have been examined for effectiveness, and undergo medical procedures researched at top public universities. Nearly every bit of your existence has been paid for by US, not you, but US as American taxpayers and you have the temerity to say that you are only responsible to yourself? And on a platform developed by public funds nonetheless...

Sounds as if you never were put in the position to buy COBRA insurance. Nobody can afford it.
