Umm... I was making an argument against libertarianism, and saying that poster should think about his equating taxes with violence and his rejection of responsibility towards others whenever using the things that make his life livable.

Deflect away. You are either for imposing your personal will upon your neighbor through government aggression or you are not. Some believe in human freedom and some believe that they have a Divine Right to use aggression to get their way.

By the way, taking care of your loved ones COULD be viewed as a selfish desire, because you take care of them because you love them. She was right that selfishness gets a bad rap. As all people are selfish if you really look at it deeply. Even the gratification of helping others is a selfish act if viewed from an objective standpoint.
Well, John Galt didn't bother bringing anyone to the Gulch to clean his bedsores when he got older. Afterall, such menial tasks are for looters. And he sure as hell wouldn't pay for Medicaid! you know, if it existed in Ann Rynds fictional world.

you claim I'm deflecting...that's beyond rich; you have not addressed or refuted one iota of the post I called you out on. Instead you babble on and on about government coercion and violence for mandating clean water or safe medicine standards.

What responsibility do I have to others, other than not to impose my will upon them with force?

How about we just add healthcare coverage to the list of other niceties that you get from living in a modern society and call it a day.

Deflect.

Do you believe that you have a right to impose your personal will upon your neighbor with aggression?

How about universal everything for everybody? Then we can all just be a mindless conforming slave race of the State to get our rations.
