Whatever health care act gets passed will be called Trumpcare and it will be come Trump's legacy, as The Affordable Health Care Act was dubbed Obamacare.

We know Trump doesn't want it named after him because he doesn't believe it is a good act -- and the same with most of his supporters.

OBAMACARE FACT OF THE DAY
FACT: When Obamacare was signed into law, CBO estimated that 23 million people would be covered in Obamacare’s exchanges in 2017. They were off by more than 100% - nearly 13 million people.

So you are advocating for the throw darts while blind folded approach. Why waste time trying to get things right. Correct?

Nice to see people can finally admit that the Democrats got thing wrong. Humility usually comes when people are out of power.

What gets me the most with this shame of a healthcare bill is they want to give tax breaks to the wealthy as part of the bill and make them RETROACTIVE!

Can't buy it if you can't afford it. The same could be said for the exaggerated claims of 47 uninsured Americans bandied about by Democrats to pass their "S" sandwich. Or the 127 million with a pre-existing illness...ROTFLMAO! Hell, Obama said that one with a straight face and his nose didn't even grow.

Ever heard of this guy? Keith Hall Trump appointed him to head the CBO, he's an ultra conservative, anti-regulation economist.

Here's what Tom Price said about him: “Keith Hall will bring an impressive level of economic expertise and experience to the Congressional Budget Office,” said House Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price, in a statement. “His vast understanding of economic and labor market policy will be invaluable to the work of CBO.

lol you just can't make this stuff up, Trump gave you all the most conservative economist he could find to run the CBO and you are still whining about the results

So 22 million people will lose their health care because they aren't paying for it.

That's fine with me.

Why should I pay their way?

It allowed your kids to remain on your policy (cheaper) longer.

It does not allow companies to deny you for pre-existing conditions.

It limits that % of profit that insurance companies can make for administering policies.

Those are the basics.
The Senate Bill eliminates the Individual And Employer Mandate.

As it relates to Individual Plans, the Senate Bill covers the same Essential Benefits as the ACA. States may apply for waivers to redefine Essential Benefits to reduce premium costs including but not limited to:

Eliminating or increasing the cap on annual out of pocket expense

No longer allowing the deductible to count towards the Annual Cap

Restoring lifetime caps on claims

Eliminating Prescription Drug Coveragd

Eliminating Mental Health Coversgd

Eliminating Maternity benefits which will likely increase the number of births paid for by Medicadd.

Like the ACA, it does nothing to reduce the cost of healthcare.

Like ACA, it requires insurers to prove it needs to increase premiums based on Geo Ratings

In theory, younger people will have lower premiums and those over 50, especially low income, will face substantially higher premiums.
