It is amazing how many posters can be so easily manipulated into hating the first amendment. They have all, like a bunch of sheep walking off a cliff, fallen for a man who is by every definition a fraud, a liar, and con man. They are so willing to destroy the institutions of this country for a man that can barely inspire any loyalty by those in his administration not family members.
Trumpists are so blind in their loyalty that they can not see that the leakers in the WH are those closest to Trump. The irony of all ironies is that the Trumpists rant about unnamed sources and no president has ever quoted unnamed sources more than Trump.
The difference is that the sources in the media are real. Trump's are all in his head.
My message to Trumpists is stop being played the fool by a someone who does not deserve it.
It seems like some of you are getting free speech and quality of work by a news organization confused.
The first amendment is nowhere in this conversation. CNN is still free to say whatever it wants to say.
Now - obviously they are hostile to Trump. If you can't admit this, then we can't have a conservation any further. There is nothing wrong with being hostile to Trump. However, there is something wrong with representing the world (supposedly) as a major news organization, and purposely putting out false narratives. This is not a free speech issue. This is not a rights issue. It is a privilege to be able to cover the president and ask him questions first hand... a privilege, not a right. If CNN wants to risk that privilege and peddle false narratives to hurt the president, then the president should be able to remove them. It also hurts the country, because people are reacting to false information.
CNN would still have the first amendment right to peddle false narratives if they want - they just won't do it in the White House press room.
If CNN would just be fair and report the truth, there would be no issue.
If nothing else gets done - I want to thank Trump for taking on the press. Whether it's in person at a press conference, or through Twitter, no one has been able to do what he has done - and it's only been a few months.
They have had their way for years... decades... and they are finally being exposed.
The use of Twitter has been brilliant in two areas - one, he can talk over the press to get out whatever he wants without the media filter. And I am not going to share the second one yet - because it involves his strategy in taking on the press.
Just to think we would have none of this had Clinton won the election with her 98% probability.
Both Dinesh D'Souza and Newt Gingrich have made similar statements about this, and I agree. Republicans have been to timid to take on the Press in the past, and most of them still won't. Donald Trump is fearless. The Leftist robots parrot one another and call this arrogance and claim he is stupid; but, he is playing them like a fiddle, and they don't even realize it!

It's funny how people seem to forget how the media treated Bush the exact same way. Stubborn refusal to ever post a single positive thing about the guy as if he was a complete failure ever single day in office. Every day that the media reported on the Iraq war, the story was only about the rising death toll as if we accomplished not a single good thing in that country.
At least we are now seeing that Bush is not the war hungry complete idiot that the media and Hollywood painted him out be. He took the kind respectful route with the media and it never helped him. Trump isn't going to put up with that crap.
And, thank you for providing everyone with our own version of the press. You are certainly the biggest, most best purveyor of news about yourself on the planet. So admirable. Bigly. We should all strive to raise our children to be just like you.
And the same goes for the rest of them, and MSNBC's Rachel Madcow, the 'Pajama Boy' lookalike has been revealed as a radical Left-wing conspiracy theorist. My guess is she's going to be fired before too long. She's looking like an absolute clown.
He's not the first to do this. People do it all the time. It's just that none of them are ever elected president (with good reason).
Call the free press the "enemy of the people" is absolutely not worthy of praise. A democracy needs a free press. Trump can brag about going directly to the people, but the fact remains, no government that has only ever operated under that directive has ever been remembered fondly. The USSR, Nazi Germany, North Korea; they don't have a free press. The government will tell you what they are doing and there's no chance to source that.
Are sources like CNN flawed? Absolutely. But I'd take a flawed free press any day over a controlled press.

The current media has LOST any credibility.
With " freedom" comes responsibility to be HONEST and NOT favor 1 side over the other.
If the press wants to regain the trust of the people (it has a LOWER approval rating then Congress) then they are going to have to EARN IT.
When we only had 3 TV networks we did not know that they were biased because we had nothing else to go by.
When the "superstars" retired we saw how very liberal they actuality were.
NOW, with the Internet we can see how biased they are.
It is THEY that are going to earn our trust back and until we see a DRASTIC change, it isn't going to happen.
