It isn't gonna get any better either once they go home to face their constituents.

I heard Chief Obstructionist Mitch was only able to get 5 yes votes so far. Everyone was either opposed to it or need more time to review. Good thing he didn't put the bill up for a vote as that would have been a major embarrassment.

The longer this POS is out there the worse it gets for McConnell. His only hope was to pass it fast. That ship has now sailed. Now we have Republican Senators saying they want to work with Democrats to fix the ACA instead of repealing it. Reality is setting in. The ACA was the best idea the Republicans had. They literaly have nothing else.

This is a disaster for McConnell. And I just can't stop about it.

Mitch apparently never learned that you can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****. I have a feeling when the GOP gets back from dealing with their constiuents at home he's going to get a very liberal education.

Would it really be a bad thing if Dems and republicans work together to better people's lives? Would love to see a vote where 30 Dems and 30 republicans pass the bill and tell the far right (Cruz and Rand) and far left (Bernie and Warren) to take a hike. Trump is encouraging them to participate but Dems only want to whine for now.

I would also love to see that personally but not sure how that can happen here. They have so many fundamental differences... Cutting Medicaid is a nonstarter for Dems and keeping ACA taxes is a nonstarter for Reps. Other than those 2 things... they seem to agree on most things (ACA lite):

-Pre-existing condition protection
-Penalty of some sort for people who don't buy insurance
-Up to 26 y.o insurance for kids
-Some sort of subsidies at least short-term to insurance companies

Nothing makes me happier than when McConnell is getting a taste of his own medicine. He was one of the primary reasons the GOP obstructed everything Obama tried to do, and that sour old POS deserves what he is getting right now.

"Oh, Mr. President, I am ssssooooooooooooo tired of winning, can we stop winning ?" Well, you just got that wish, Trumpees !

Wow what a concept. Now why aren't you in the WH instead of the liar in chief who can't be bothered with the details.

Ds are the minority. They can only participate if the Rs ask. House Rs deliberately excluded them and so have the senate Rs.

Apparently McConnell has told the senate Rs that if they won't fall in line, he will consult with Ds.

That would be interesting, to say the least. Because Ds will not give in on the medicaid expansion.

That's my dream.

McConnell phoning up some Democrat he could sit down with and say -- why don't some of you and your friends come for dinner. Let's see if we can sort this out. We can do better.

Egos are strong though and while Trump is looking for a great Health Care Act to claim his legacy, the Republican partisan politicians are all trying to pull the win for themselves and their ideological stances.

Us, the voters, we are last on their list of priorities.
