I did. I think it's a stretch to claim that she lost income because NYT gets advertising revenue when people read the piece in question. It's not as if she can seriously expect a share of advertising income anytime anyone anywhere publishes an opinion about her.

"Awww, the half-term quitter"

Did you call Obama, who quit TWICE a "the half-term quitter"?

Or Hillary?

Or any of the MANY dems who have "quit" to take a higher position?

I doubt it.

The hypocrisy of the left is ever present!

What higher position did she take?

Does someone have to explain what a promotion is? You've probably never had one, have you? Look it up. It's actually something to be proud of.

Then we have the half-term quitter who walked out on her elected position to become a reality star. Doesn't that make you proud?

NYT better watch out. I hear Sarah can see their headquarters from her home.

She needs the money so she can continue to monitor Russia from her patio.

LOL.

She carried more states in 2008 than Hillary Clinton did in 2016.

This speaks for itself.

No, she didn't. The McCain/Palin ticket won 21 states. The Clinton/Kaine ticket won 21 states.

And none of that changes the fact that Palin is a half-term quitter.

For those interested, here is the prevailing law concerning such defamation suits:

https://supreme.justia.com/cases/fed.../254/case.html

It is, of course, New York Times v. Sullivan.

Yes, it is long. I read it back in law school, and do not wish to again. However, it is the case that established that, even if a newspaper prints false statements, they are shielded from defamation cases by public individuals unless the defamed can prove that the paper acted with 'actual malice'.

It is a high standard, as the unanimous Court intended.

I doubt that Ms. Palin can overcome that hurdle.
