If my group had spent tens of millions of dollars on a congressional race where we were running some sniveling pajama-boy who didn't even live in the district in question, and we still still lost in humiliating fashion...then yeah, I'd be casting about for villains, too. I'd be tempted to think it was everybody else's fault, and I'd be doing everything I could to convince everybody else of that assertion.
