If I was male, I would be terrified to be around a woman alone. No matter age or situation. Progressives are bringing back the Victorian era and the need for chaperoning.

I spent two years traveling with 3 men and my supervisor, a woman. We all respected one another ~ didn't act like fools or jerks ~ and we had a great team. It's really not that hard.

In a one on one situation, absolutely.

Additionally, it's never good to make any jokes around them regardless of how many others are present.

If you are a male, you need a different set of rules around women in most professional situations. They are NEVER one of the boys.

I am very glad I an no longer stuck in an office 6 to 8 hours a day with, not only women, but other people. I never did figure out the nuances of the behavior game. Now I do not have to play it.

Progressives? Was it 'progressives' that politicized a private affair? Are Roy Moore's accusers 'progressives'?

Is the woman who called out Al Franken a progressive?

I think you really need to take a hard look at who led this parade.

I thought we were supposed to be in the era of the "strong"independent american woman, feminists love to use that "strong" phase all the time. lol This waiting for 20-30 years is weak and pathetic, all they did was enable these creeps to continue.

It took an italian woman one trip to the police and harvey weinsteins entire life and reign of creepiness came tumbling down. All these other women just shut up or took hush money and let all these predators and creeps continue their ways for 20-30 years.
20-30 years ago no one gave a damn if a woman was victimized by her boss or someone in power.

Duh.

Yes they did. I mean seriously folks, everyone likes to say 20-30 years ago as if that takes you back into the 50's or something. 20 years ago it was 1997 for God's sake. People absolutely cared about this sort of stuff then. Hell, even 30 years ago only takes us back to 1987. I was 10 years old and I remember seeing stuff on the news quite often about men being arrested for child abuse, spouse abuse, sexual assaults, etc. There was absolutely no reason for these women who are making 30 year old claims to have not gone to the authorities back when the events actually happened. Like I said, we are not talking about the dark ages. This is post MTV era we are talking about here. Changes in consciousness did not just start during Barack Obama's presidency no matter how much you folks might want to believe it. These sorts of things have been frowned upon for a long time now, and the authorities back in the 80's and 90's would have investigated these women's claims. There just wouldn't have been a giant media storm surrounding it then. Which makes me wonder, are they finally coming forward because they just can't deal with what happened anymore, or are they simply out to create pandemonium in the media. Personally, I'm leaning toward the latter. And I'm pretty sure everyone else knows this too, even if they won't admit it because it wouldn't go along with their current political agenda. A little common sense goes a long way, and I think many of us would be much closer on many issues if we looked at more of this insanity with a bit more of a critical eye.

True. I agree 100%.

Now, an accusation means a man may be expelled from school. An accusation against him is on the web. Forever for employers to see. Regardless of whether it is true.

I do NOT discount the reality of rape. Proof is no longer required for condemnation or consequences on the Internet...only a woman's accusation.

If you go through life seeing women as nothing more than vile temptations, you're going to think like Pence. And the really sad part is a large amount of women have internalized this view as well so they see other women as competition for their spouses. It's just all toxic masculinity in the end.

As a straight man, it makes no sense to me to specifically single out women as your cause for being anti-social during dinners as a rule if it doesn't have anything to do with the possibility of infidelity. I feel bad for these people who are so fearful of "temptation" and whatnot. It sounds like they think about sex and guilt from it wayyyyyy more than people who really don't give two F's.
