Soooo glad that I don't buy precooked chicken nuggets. I raise chickens for eggs, might just start wringing some necks & putting 'em in the pot, so I have to worry about where the stuff in the store came from. Why on earth doesn't the country of origin have to be noted on it?
"Birds sourced from a USDA-approved country, like Canada or Chile, are guaranteed to undergo the same safety checks during slaughter that they would in the United States." But, not China, eh?
"President Trump has tweeted his enthusiasm about the deal, describing it as “REAL news!” "
"Chinese negotiators have intimated that they would also limit U.S. access to other commodity markets if Chinese poultry was not approved, former USDA officials said. Agriculture is one of the few major areas where the United States maintains a large trade surplus with China." Yeah, looks like this is a real winning deal for the US. Not! Yet another trump failure in negotiating. Getting tired of this kind of 'winning' yet?
There is nothing wrong with contaminated food. It builds up resistance to disease. We having been eating pink slime for years. I can't wait to open up a good old can of tuna fish that glows in the dark. Caught off the coast of Japan. I can keep the light off and reduce my carbon foot print and it makes me feel green. The more I eat the greener I get.

The poultry market in China has been and is currently down, that includes eggs. Prices are low.
From what I have heard from persons I know the Chinese people are reluctant to purchase due to some health scare, I forget which.
The deal makes sense from the Chinese point of view, strengthen the market and also have a talking point with their public: 'the Americans are buying and eating it, so how bad can it be?'

This is a weird post.
In any case, the unfortunate term pink slime does not refer to contaminated product, and if some was contaminated it would be illegal to use in food products, that is ... before Trump and his gang of Robber Barons anyway.

Because it won't be labeled as a product of China. Why do you suppose there is that stipulation in the agreement? Because they know Americans won't buy it if they know its origin. Basically this agreement will allow the government to keep Americans in the dark about the safety of their food for China's benefit.

Yeah, pink slime is meat. When you buy meat that is what you want.
