Of course we now know it was all a setup, as this same woman has been identified (in photos) meeting with Obama, and we also now know she was working for the DNC. And Fusion GPS, the "oposition research" firm is funded by George Soros.
None of this looks good for the Democrats. Their whole case is falling apart, and this storm they created has changed course, and is turning back on them.
I love it!
Junior was not under any obligation, moral or otherwise, to accept meeting her. He did so of his own free will.
None of this looks good for the republicans. Their banana republic is falling apart and the #$#$storm they created is hitting the fan.
The meetings with Russians don't appear to be anything unusual. Both Democrats and Republicans do this on a regular basis.
However, it is annoying that Don Jr. did not disclose this particular meeting several months ago. Back around December when the Russian collusion hysteria really got started by the media, he should have just stated that he had a meeting with a Russian lawyer who was residing in the U.S. at the time and nothing came of it. It was a wasted 20 minutes. End of story.
No, it was to receive information on Hillary, which the Russian lawyer claimed to have.
yes!..... which the emails explicitly stated would be russian government documents coming from russian officials!
actually the lawyer never claimed to have the documents. just the opposite. it was rob goldstone who claimed to be getting them ( then presumably having them delivered by the lawyer ).

She happened to be in the U.S. at the time. She was not residing in the U.S.
A 20 min meeting in which nothing of importance was discussed is not something that needs to be revealed AND considering at the time there was no frenzy over any "Russian collusion" (but maybe there should have been, because Hillary and the DNC were certainly colluding with this person to attempt to affect the election, as we now know).
i do believe that was the lawyer's motivation to attend but there seems to be a monumental communications gap between the parties about the intended subject of the meeting.
The Democrats didn't do this. All the pointing of fingers and waving, look over here! doesn't change the facts that what happened here is unusual. When a campaign gets contacted by a foreign agent who wants to "help", campaigns report the contact to the FBI.
Trump Jr didn't know he was doing anything wrong. And neither did Kuchner. Because neither man had any political experience or background. Manafort surely knew. And Trump Jr assumes his innocence, and that nothing came of the meeting, makes it a "nothing-burger". But it's not a "nothing-burger", because there is a pattern in this campaign. Too many people, too many communications with Russians. And then all the denials of ANY contacts with Russians. That's what Mueller is looking into. And Trump Jr's memos give insight into the Trump campaign. Its eagerness to find ways to attack Clinton, its eagerness to win, and its willingness to ignore ethics. And the current administration seems to still be willing to ignore ethics.
We have rules and laws that require people to follow some basic ethical guidelines. And we leave a lot up to people as a matter of character. There seems to be an ignorance in the Trump camp of those rules and laws, but more importantly, there seems to be an absence of character.

Well, I'll have to re-read the email, which Sean Hanity had on his screen on his show just before he interviewed Donald Trump Jr. I don't recall that the email said where the information was coming from. But, as it turned out, she didn't have anything, and began discussing other things. Donald Trump Jr.'s words were, "It was a waste of time."

I saw yesterday that Fox News was editing out the most relevant parts (including the mention of the Russian government) of the email when presenting it. Maybe read the e-mail from a reputable source.
