WRONG!

The entire division in our political spectrum is, 1/2 the people think government is here to help the people, with gifts from GOD(the tax man)
The other 1/2 think government is the enemy and way too big, overstepping their boundaries and taking liberties and picking and choosing winners and losers, instead of their job of securing them and treating everyone equally and where the federal government is concerned, every state equally.

It has never been Democrat v. Republican. It has always been Liberty v. Bondage
Agreed. Historically, though, Dems have been a bit more totalitarian in their policies.

There was no illusion in what I said. You went to the edge quickly.

Way too big, is I don't like government at all? Are you delusional?
Unlike any other government in the world, our governments job is to secure your liberties, not take them, and defend foreign attacks. Government is needed to secure liberties for all. Who said I didn't like government? I just stated they will always be the enemy, if WE THE PEOPLE don't hold them accountable, when they take liberty away and make the choice for you.

Do agree with them taking away your liberties if you commit a crime?

Slaves have always been worth keeping alive. The less educated they are, the less likely they will think for themselves.
Pretty sure you will get punished, if you don't do it like your Massa says. Get too uppity, and the Massa will have you killed.

If you don't like liberty move to the socialist utopia of Venezuela. Oh wait, that argument is terrible too.

Why do people think that only people that have the "right"(tm) ideas are allowed to populate a specific geographic region (aka "country")?

I know better that neither of those options will happen.

Are you sure you understand the divisions in both political parties and what they are based upon.

Yes, I am sure. I am only offering my opinion.

Crime: Every law ever made, took someone's liberty to choose for themselves.
The only crimes I can justify punishment by me, or government: is harming another, unless your life was threatened. And stealing from another.
Murder and stealing have always been punishable by death. And it was never cruel, or unusual to do so.

Well you would be incarcerated... That is the only place you truly lose liberty, no matter how much government takes.
Remember: It ain't illegal until you get caught.

Where do I fit in to your perfect little dichotomy if my belief is that it's stupid and futile to suggest their are two sides?

And the answer is neither. Government is a system of organization. An analysis of how it functions is how you answer your question. Based on that, I don't think the US government is strictly either. It's relationship to the press, firearms, and privacy are rather strained at the moment. However, I still can vote, largely speak my mind, and enjoy the fruits of American society. All and all, I think Americans have it pretty good. Minus the fact that we all hate each other now.
