ivanka, first daughter, sr advisor and frequent companion to POTUS, with undefined responsibilities, put her business into a trust. She is the sole beneficiary of the trust.
She has made clear her audiences understand " improving the lives of working women is my life's mission. " While implied she means US women, reality is something else.
While POTUS continues to chastise US businesses for offshoring, Ivanka's business continues to manufacture 100% offshore, China, Bangladesh, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Etheiopia and so on.
97% of retail clothing sold in the US is imported from countries with cheap labor. The US population is generally uninterested in paying a premium for Made in the US.
The Ivanka brand does not inspect manufacturers for human rights violations.
Why would this brand not take a bold stand and bring this manufacturing home and walk the talk?
Surely those who drink the Trump Kool- aid would pay more for the Ivanka brand, made in the USA. Who knows, maybe even some of the detractors would do so in support of US laborers.

I almost feel sorry for her, it feels like she was the only one in the clan who understood that while the Trump presidency may be an enormous boost in the short term (YUGE, BIGLY) in the long run it would crater the brand. Trump real estate and hotel brand is all about new money millionaires...athletes, entertainers, and foreign investors. Being known as the white nationalist godfather doesn't mesh with his gold plated brand. It's not like the blue collar followers in WV or MS can afford 500+ a night at Trump's hotel in midtown or 2MM+ for a 2 BR in Trump tower.....
You lured me in with "Ivanka" she is really something, smart and so good looking.
I don't care about her clothes since I don't wear them. I thought all the liberal stores dumped her anyways when her Dad won the election because they were afraid of boycotts by ridiculous people?
I'd like to see Ivanka get more involved in politics because she has the intelligence grace and poise that her dad lacks.
She would be a terrific President.
