In a first of a kind occurrence I agree with her. That being said I hope they moved her to a middle seat between two sweaty fat guys in the last row that won't recline, next to the bathrooms.
Delta is a private company that can do anything it pleases within legal limits to its customers. Just about everyone who flies often has that one "XXXXX airlines screwed me" story. All Ms. Coulter can do is to choose not to fly Delta anymore.
LOL, you make it seem like the airlines give a rats behind. They don't, and I'm sure that somewhere in the fine print, it says they can move your seat at their whim. They can do, and have done, whatever they want, even in light of all the recent bad press. They have you by the balls, what can you do?
What in the world are you talking about? Nothing in my post makes it "seem like the airlines give a rates behind." I merely attacked Delta and shamed the family for their actions. No, I didn't make it seem like the airlines "give a rats behind." But I certainly do, as do many others.
Having written that, and more to your point, yes the airlines do care about bad publicity (and United was in full damage control over its most recent scandals). And the bigger the name of the individual criticizing them, the bigger the potential impact may be in terms of boycotts, etc. That said, a fair question is whether Ann Coulter complaining would hurt or help the airline in this case!
All airlines suck these days. I am a very small person yet still feel cramped in a seat. 2 seats on each side was just fine. But then they added 3 seats. I feel bad for the larger people who doesn't fit in a seat but I feel bad for myself when they take over half of mine. I always set off the alarm. An agent told me to wear sweatpants instead of jeans because the button set it off. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing sweatpants especially out of my house. And if I don't set the alarm off they always pull me aside to physically search me. They have never done this to my husband. If the plane blows up then it blows up. I just want my freedom back.
guessing there is a bit more to this... doesn't make much sense.
It seems like every other story we have been hearing about airlines since that passenger got dragged off to make room for a flight crew.
Like many industries the airlines have yet to adapt to their dirty laundry being uploaded for all to see before they can spin away.
