Just ignoring this kind of stuff like ignoring the assaults on the san francisco bart train isnt going to make it go away. We could easily be heading toward something like LA riots and the race riots of the 1960s, just another liberal success story in our inner cities and with the "war on poverty"
There we go. Let it out.
I know some of our fellow C-D posters see a video like this and feel the sudden urge to unleash your rants...I mean opinions, about blacks and welfare.
Philly, (and I live in the burbs, and am from there) is just another big city toilet like Baltimore, Chicago, L.A., NYC, San Francisco etc. All run by Democrats promoting generations of the Welfare State Plantation to buy votes, and stay in power. Meanwhile the elites dine at the finer restaurants in the "nice" section, but fear driving through anywhere else.

NYC and SF have much lower crime rates than you think. Seattle, Boston, Denver, St. Paul, Madison, Columbus, San Jose, those are all big cities run by Democrats. They aren't the toilets you are describing.

I suspect that is the case. I do feel that some people are itching to find a place to unleash the anger they have towards Blacks. This is not to take away from the fact that those teenagers need to be punished for their actions. However, some only seek to use this event as an excuse to say "see, this is why we don't want Blacks around".
I think this was a strength in numbers thing. No one could be arrested because there were too many people to target. You can use tear gas to disperse a crowd. However, you can't arrest all 500. One question is this. How do you get 500 teenagers to do into one area with the explicit purpose to loot and destroy, and there is no sporting event or cause behind it?
I understand there are those pointing to the reality that these were Blacks doing this. Okay, these were Black teenagers doing this. So what? I don't see anyone saying "see what those Whites did" when San Francisco went into chaos after the Giants won the 2014 World Series. A few people got shot and stabbed.
Oh look - a bunch of 14, 15, and 16 year olds acting like idiots.
For the safety of both the officers and the kids, probably a good idea they decided not to intervene. If they can identify any of these kids on camera that threw something at cops, then by all means arrest them.
Of course, except in a few years these 14, 15, and 16 year olds will be adults who society expects to act like adults.
500 kids throwing stuff and jumping on their police cars? Why didn't they call for backup and surround them? I suspect the reporting of this story is an exaggeration of the events. Apparently the cops didn't think it was all that bad.
