Could be an arrest quota. Could be a desire for OT. Could be a desire to make detective. Or a hatred for the suspect. Only the cop knows.

Here in a town of 8,000, they had to write some for non existent crimes.

And...thats a problem. Seriously, incentives to cheat will cause it. And criminal charges ruin lives. Its good to see you post this. It makes me happy to see folks involved in law enforcement-even if retired-care about justice.

Yes, this happens every day all across the country. LE is off the chain. It gotten truly scary. Folks are better off not calling on LE for anything. There's just no confidence in police any more. If you call them for a crime,they show up and then fish for a reason to arrest you. Sheesh, what's to be done with this?
