If Trump fires Mueller he has gone too far and needs impeached immediately. The GOP better get some balls on this one or they are dead.

Since the GOP is the "PARTY OF CORRUPTION", I wouldn't hold my breath!

Yup. ALL this having happened, stemming from one, big fat LIAR. I knew it was going to be a joke and a waste of everyone's time, right from the start. 😦

These are indeed "interesting times" and we'll soon see that America will divided along these lines:

Patriots vs partisans

How far will the GOP go in supporting tRump's unethical and illegal behavior?

EXACTLY!

True. Proof that they do not differentiate between right and wrong. Oh, but y'know..loyalty is what matters to their king.

So far, nothing has been publicly released.

But don't go away. It's beginning to get good.

Carry on.

Did you stock up on Popcorn, yet? ☺️

Seriously.
Trump was hired to try to clean things up.
LET HIM DO HIS JOB
Didn't you hear, after six months, one can no longer refer to his opponent.

He crashed the party, alright and everything else. He has had a "job" for six months and has not cleaned up anything, just created more rubbish.

Since you have got better things to do than follow this, well, then... see ya.

Trump’s Interests vs. America’s, Pensions Edition

In at least seven states, government employees are obligated, via their pension funds, to invest in a company that operates one of the president’s New York hotels.

Quote:
...Now, two advocacy organizations, Free Speech for People and the Courage Campaign, are trying to bring attention to another potential violation of the domestic emoluments clause. The two groups are circulating petitions about public pension funds in several states, including California, New York, and Texas, that invest in CIM Fund III, a real-estate company that owns the Trump SoHo Hotel and Condominium in New York City. Though the details of most of the Trump Organization’s licensing agreements are private, the licensing deal for Trump SoHo, according to The New York Times, gives the Trump Organization equity in the property, meaning that the president’s company profits based on how well Trump SoHo performs. That means that the pension funds, which are drawn from mandatory deductions from the paychecks of more than 5 million public-sector employees across seven states, are therefore indirectly paying the Trump Organization to operate Trump SoHo.

These pension funds create a conflict of interest that corrupts the relationship between state and federal governments. Jed Shugerman, a law professor at Fordham University, says the domestic emoluments clause was written to avoid such a scenario:

Quote:
The reason why the framers put the domestic emoluments clause in the Constitution is because they were concerned about the relationships of states vs. other states. Could big states, could rich states, wield more influence over the federal governments? One way that they worried rich states could wield more influence is by paying presidents directly. To avoid even the appearance of improper influence, they created a blanket rule: no emoluments from states.

So, the pension funds create exactly the possibility the framers feared. ...

The other thing that comes into play here, specifically with Deutsche Bank, is its compliance with the now in settlement stage lawsuit.

Deutsche Bank, as part of routine compliance & in response to the lawsuit described here:

Press Release - January 30, 2017: DFS Fines Deutsche Bank $425 Million for Russian Mirror-Trading Scheme

Deutsche Bank had already conducted a 'close internal examination' of Mr. Trump's accounts because again, it was part of 'routine compliance' in matters of this type to do the 'closer review' of PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons).

Mr. Trump became a 'PEP' when he announced his run for the presidency, banks typically subject PEPs to stricter compliance scrutiny.

Yes. I knew it would ultimately catch up with him, "being placed in this position" in order to be exposed and caught.
