Conservative group pulls award from Sean Hannity - POLITICO

Fox News host Sean Hannity will no longer receive the Media Research Center’s William F. Buckley Jr. Award for Media Excellence at the group’s September gala.

Sources familiar with the situation said it is because Buckley’s son, Christopher Buckley, was unhappy with the decision and expressed his views to MRC head Brent Bozell, who is also Buckley’s nephew. But Hannity and the MRC are claiming it’s a “scheduling conflict.”

Sad!

Yeah, I saw this earlier. The funniest part is that Hannity is so embarrassed about it he's trying to float a story that HE is the one who pulled out due to scheduling conflicts or some such rot. Funny stuff.

William F Buckley, if still alive, would be appalled to see what some people today call conservatism and those that purport to support it. WFB was not anti intellectual as much of the current right wing is.

Hmmm....
I wonder if this Seth Meyer piece had anything to do with it...
Seth Meyers Calls Out Sean Hannity For The Most Bizarre Habit | HuffPost

With friends like Hannity, Trump has no need for enemies.

I usually find Seth pretty funny, but he was over the top funny in this one, and it must have lit somebody's head on fire. the Hannity bit begins halfway in, but the other stuff is a good warmup to the main act.

Is it OK when conservatives make decisions based on political correctness, or are they snowflakes too?

Any organization that gave him an award for media excellence isn't worth much, did they give an award to infowars too.
