Agreed and it is a reasonable accommodation to make. The ones that want you to bend over backward to accommodate their preferences are the ones I take issue with.

I'm all for gender-neutrality, but the English language is in dire need "proper" gender-neutral pronouns. Growing up, I was taught "he", "his", and "him" were to be used when gender was neutral. I go to college and my writing professor insisted that this was not proper. Okay, but how about coming up with some proper damn pronouns to address the situation instead of having to say "he or she" or "him or her" every damn time you want to be gender neutral.
