The funniest part of all this is if Democrats had paid $1 to $3 Billion dollars in tax incentives, Republicans would scream they were "picking winners and losers". But several states have been competing for this for a while now and Wisconsin agreed to massive tax incentives.

The announcement would come on the heels of a Wall Street Journal interview with Trump, where he said he had spoken to Apple CEO Tim Cook about three U.S. factories. Apple has yet to comment on Trump's remarks. Cook told Jim Cramer on CNBC's "Mad Money" in May it would start a $1 billion fund to promote advanced manufacturing jobs in the United States.
Apple supplier Corning told CNBC last week that it would "immediately" invest $500 million and create 1,000 new jobs in the United States, but those jobs are related to medical devices.
Why is it your thread title states "bringing 10,000 jobs" yet in your post you state "About 10,000 jobs could be created" ? Can't anything about Trump be done with honesty rather than exaggeration?

When Obama tried to get Apple to open a factory here, they said no. LOL!
#MAGA
Wisconsin is now a Red State.
And how did Trump hire these 10,000 people specifically? What did he do to get them to open this factory? Oh yeah, he announced it and took credit for it. THREAD FAIL.
Its 3-10K jobs, so in the worst case it's $1 million per job.
It would be less than that. This plant is likely to be primarily automated, and Foxconn is known for treating their employees like crap. The CEO even called his employees animals that he hates managing.
Repubs think this is such an amazing deal, but smart people see through the BS and realize it's an enormous tax incentive to bring back very few horrible jobs.
Remember all the praise Trump got over Carrier after giving them $7 million in tax breaks? They went ahead and fired hundreds of people who are now pissed and said Trump screwed them.
They'll try to pretend it's Trump. Pretty soon they'll start saying Trump killed bin Laden. This has been in the works for a long time. Seven states were competing for it. It was not conceived, weighed and determined in six months. Not by a LONG shot.
I think Foxconn may have looked to the future and saw a more business friendly atmosphere here under Trump than Obama.

That doesn't fit their strategy for the last few years. The purposely set an agenda years ago for global expansion - -the USA was/is one of the biggest targets WHOEVER is in office.
Trump's promises to corporations are still promises. Nothing concrete yet. I doubt very highly that corporations would make million dollar investments with the 'hope' of more favorable corporate taxes/laws. Given the inability of the govt. to pass legislation right now, that would be a gamble -- if that was the only reason to expand in the USA right now.
Businesses aren't like emotional voters...they don't jump on board in the hopes that a new administration will address their emotional needs.
A company like this doesn't make such a decision in 6 months. Takes far longer.
It's all moot anyhow until it's there. Foxconn said in 2013 they'd build a factory in the US (announced a location and all that), they still haven't broken ground on.
Yeah -- It's naive to think that any corporation makes major expansion plans like that so quickly. I could see them announcing plans for next year or something. Finding property, negotiating with federal, state and local govts., designing, building a plant, etc. takes months.
