And they have the gall to call Trump a national security threat.

While I am no fan of Trump being at the helm, I most certainly do not see him as any more of a risk than the last two presidents. I suppose one could argue that they are gone but the reasons for their bad actions are not.

If Warren wanted to make the argument that we as a country overall are not trustworthy, then OK, I'll buy that.

I'm old enough to remember when something like that would trigger sh*t-loads of FISA warrants!

UGH Granny Warren.... It sounds like she is still buying into the CNN hype from 2016 that Trump is such a maniac that he is going to launch some nukes in a hammer handed rant.

What should a POTUS who believes his 'gut' is a better source of intel than his entire intelligence community be called?

So according to you we should never question our intelligence community. The same intelligence community that claimed with 100% certainty that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

The intelligence agencies warned against it.. and the Bush Jr administration cherry picked information and ran disinformation campaign to the US people.

And, thats why most of its allies stayed out of Iraq, because they knew it was a huge lie!

But his supporters believe he was chosen by God so his 'gut' cannot possibly be wrong.

But in regards to the OP, taking first strike off the table will actually make nuclear conflict LESS likely. Think about it this way. If any nation uses nukes its mutually assured destruction and billions of deaths. Nobody wants that. Therefore, any country that attacks a nuclear power with a no-first-strike policy will have to accept certain destruction.

Like any issue though, conservatives however will just believe anything Fox News tells them and lose their minds over it without thinking it through rationally.

Too late. We needed this for George W.
I never had a fear that Trump would start a war (naive maybe). He concerns me in many areas but he has always seemed adverse to starting a war. I do think Trump might go overboard if we are attacked but again we lived through George W.
