These BB guns are typically indistinguishable from the real thing, even a gun expert if they were standing a couple of feet away would have difficulty knowing the difference.
Incorrect. Anybody can tell the glaring difference immediately upon the time when someone pointing a BB gun at you.
At least, that's what the media wants us to believe.
yeah.. The "shot him in the back of his head" part is what bothers me.
If there was a person in the line of site of him, shooting him would be valid to potentially save someone else's life. Doesn't have to be that it was the cops who felt their life was in danger.

That is why I said maybe we need all the information before condemning anybody.
Nowhere in the article does it state he pointed it at anyone so why would you do this? Is it just to increase post count? We do this everytime a story comes up and people just make the same stuff up. It's the only answer I can come up with for why people insist on being deceitful over and over.
Now to the article......we need far more info here but initially if true, it does not look good if he was shot in the back.
Well that is the point. Too little information at this point to make any bold statements as to who was at fault.
Apparently the kid had issues was at some sort of mental health treatment facility and his behavior there caused someone to call 911 on him. You would assume patients there would not be allowed to walk around with BB guns.
I know a lot of cops and believe me police officers do not wake up in the morning and decide they are going to shoot an unarmed black person and get placed on leave with the possibility of losing their job and going to jail. Why would anyone want that? When people sensationalize this bad cop stuff its just totally ignorance.

This story doesn't upset me as much as many other of the police shootings since the kid did have a gun, regardless of what caliber it was.
However, if you have the authority to legally shoot on sight for any reason you need to be wearing a functional body cam at all times, and make sure that it's on. Body cams for cops would clear up a lot of issues. If the body cam is off or "not functioning" it should be presumed that it wasn't a clean shot until proven otherwise. Cops would also be a tad bit more hesitant to shoot without a great reason knowing that their actions are being filmed. Problem solved.
They've tried this, but it seems like the officer rarely has the body cam turned on for whatever reason. How convenient for them.
You're going to have to explain to me how they shot him in the back and in the back of the head if he was pointing the gun at them.
There is no reason to actually believe that he was shot in the back of the head. According to the article that is what the parent's told the media. Parents never lie about their spawn, right?

...
Ignoring trollish posts and ridiculous lies leaves them standing as facts.
It's a dilemma, I tell you.
At some point, one feels the urge to witness for the truth, if only on an anonymous forum.
On the other hand, ...
