Canada doesn't have an open door policy for immigration (neither does the USA). It's very different in Europe than here.

Today NPR interviewed a Canadian Senator. She wants Canada to lay out the welcome mat for all the DACA people. She said it worked out well to have 40,000 draft dodgers come over, and that this would also be good.
I think all 880,000 should go to Canada----then it wouldn't just be good; it would be GREAT!!

Yes, then they would stay in the USA....By the way, the current surge consists mostly of Haitians, driven from their homeland by the 2010 earthquake, who were told by the U.S. government in May they could face deportation as early as January 2018. You were provided a link to the article, maybe you should read it.
It's OK guys; we're used to caring for and housing Americans in their time of need, especially when a raging hoard of rebelling students are threatening their lives or America refuses them permission to land in their own country. We've been proven capable and unafraid.
