Yes, that clearly makes sense. Putting aside the fact that Antifa has nothing to do with anarchists, a cable news network paid the bill for a random band of anarchists, because a delusional Trump cultist said so...

come on, get it right, the Trumpster lemming line seems to be this was Soros cash at play to further "globalist" intentions....it would be hysterical if these people didn't also get a vote as well.....

There will something else, no doubt about that.

But Nazis chanting "This is our street," and beating the crap out of people -- That's an image that lingers.

Trump minimizing it, calling Nazis "very fine people," ... got to wonder if this is the tipping point.

You forgot "clueless."

He was on the campaign, headed up the transition team, yet this is first he's every heard of anything that went on.

I will say this: if Mr. Pence had been President during the North Korea tensions (which still exists, of course), Mr. Pence would have, no doubt, done as virtually any other politician would have done: mouth diplomatic platitudes and threats that Leader Bart (or whatever his name is) would have cheerfully ignored.

Yet, in Trump, Leader Bart was facing a wholly new animal. One that not only spoke recklessly, but also spoke of how the US of A has the overwhelming forces, and then some, to not only destroy North Korea (and a fair share of the surrounding countryside), but was crazy enough to do so. Bart no doubt saw how much of the civilized world was talking of our President: "He's crazy! He'll shoot" (I'm thinking of that scene from Blazing Saddles).

So far, the showdown with Leader Bart was Trump's finest hour. Whether you want such a reckless person (such as saying, hey! Venezuela, you're next!) to be a full-time President for all occasions, is a different issue.

While he, in the early days of the Presidency, showed some backbone and convictions, by going around the world and sort of smoothing out what Trump had said or done, he has not done that lately. There was a time when he looked like he was going to be the sane and sensible one of the duo, and I felt he would not be such a bad President after all. (I STILL think he is certainly a better alternative to Trump.....Hell, a GOAT would be a better alternative than Trump !) But lately he has become a little weak and sort of a cheerleader for some of the things Trump has done.

An example is this latest KKK, Nazi, issue. He did issue a tepid response to the outlandish position Trump took (3 times), but he could have used this opportunity to show us who Mike Pence really is and how he would try to unite and heal the country. Maybe he is just laying back and waiting, but I want to know the man who replaces Trump will be strong and have the right goals in mind going in.

I hope the next few weeks show a more "Presidential looking" Mike Pence so America can start to warm up to him, in case the scenario some of us sees comes true. With McConnell, Ryan, McCain, and so many other influential GOP guys starting to line up against Trump, it would be beneficial if Pence exhibited the same courage they are just starting to show us.
I think he's purposely staying out of the way. If you speak out against Trump you become a target for Trump & his supporters.

He's just standing back waiting to see what is going to happen next.
