I disagree with you on this. There's such a thing as free speech, but that doesn't mean what you say doesn't have consequences.

I'm free to call the CEO a bastard. That's free speech. It doesn't mean I shouldn't have to pay a price for exercising it.

Common sense 101.

I said someone said she's not black, but Cuban...but you're saying she's Cuban rather than African-American.
You did get the meaning of what was posted, right?

No - not 'we'. There's a reason I'm not on social media. It's the same reason I don't own a gun. I'd be likely to shoot myself in the foot if I did either.

Ha! Me too. I know where my armed neighbors are. I've told them if there is trouble I will be BEHIND them all the way LOL.

The Senator will 'be' whatever is convenient to push the agenda. Didn't you know, identity is a fungible political commodity these days.

I'm with you. These people with no self-control can let it all out and at least we'll know who we're really dealing with.

That's why when small businesses refuse to sell to gay people - I'm all for not mandating otherwise. Let their small mindedness become public knowledge so people don't bother putting money in their pockets.

Oh, a grandstander. But power mongering idiot who likes to shoot her mouth off describes most of our politicians, in all parties.

Why would a Cuban dislike someone with an Hispanic last name?
Because I'm not Cuban.
(Actually Mexican, but she knew by my last name that it was something central american.)

I think she actually identifies as Afro-Cuban and Puerto Ricano, but never really talks much about her ancestry as her identification with the African-American community is pretty critical to her electoral success. She has often been pretty vocal about her admiration of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, especially Che.

This kind of discrimination still exists?

And from a politician, no less. She really does need a new job.
