Entirely possible it's all hype. We've heard this before. I don't think that bizarre interview he gave did him any favors.

Now that I follow an account created that mimics Trump's twitter feed, I can see that drudge posted "bannon had a good run". Lots of comments from upset people.

Trump says he can get away with murder and is being saluted and praised by Nazis but he can't fire Bannon without "them" turning on him? Sick.

Trump was asked about Bannon two days ago, and Trump's answer went on for two minutes without really supporting him. Stuff like "he came on really late in the process" but that he's a friend. It certainly was no definitive statement about keeping him.
