It's a bait! The minute someone 'engages' with them about he hat, stereotypes of "angry, black, socialist, *******s," etc come from the other side, giving them ammunition! Don't fall for the bait......!
Would that liberals/leftist and identity groups that act violently would leave them alone and respect their free speech. But that's not what has been happening the past several years.

They definitely should not have "the right" to tell you to get F'd and rip it off your head......

I disagree...to an extent.

Verbal barbs do not violate the non-aggression principle.

Once you leave your private property you are at the mercy of words at various decibel levels that may or may not offend you.

Ripping it off her head was a clear violation of the non-aggression principle. It was battery.

When the hat was in the possession of the other person...that was theft. Another violation.

I agree with the rip it off your head part, but there is no reason to take away the right to tell a person rocking MAGA gear to get F'd.

Or throw rocks and concrete-filled water bottles among other violent things like Antifa and BLM does.

What about throwing them out of the cafeteria?

UPDATE:

Another man allegedly stole Sarah’s cap before a supervisor returned it
White Girls Intentionally Wore Trump Hats To Howard University | Essence.com

A "man" was the one that allegedly stole the hat. I just assumed it was a woman that took it.

A grown man stole the hat off a minor's head...female at that.

Just when I thought the story couldn't get any more pathetic.

I can read, thank you.

Can you think?

I am trying to educate you on the concept of our natural right to peacefully express our political opinion.

Doing so should not cause a scene. It does so only because some people do not understand that others are permitted to hold and express political opinions that differ from their own.

You do not have a right to commit assault, battery, and theft against another for peacefully expressing a political opinion.

When you commit assault, battery, and theft against another for peacefully expressing a political opinion, it is YOU who causes the scene.

I am not surprised that some people cannot refrain from causing a scene in reaction to a peaceful, lawful expression of a political opinion.

I am saying merely that such reaction is inappropriate and in the case of the HU students, unlawful.

Is that too difficult a notion for you to grasp? Sorry if it is, because I cannot dumb it down any further.

Its not a deflect. You simply are unable or unwilling to see the perfectly good analogy.

Can you read?

There is no "however".

The 1st Amendment of the US Constitution protects our freedom to peacefully express our political opinions.

Have you ever read the Constitution? Have you ever read the 1st Amendment?

There is no "however" in the 1st Amendment.

Problematic to some degree?

Yes. But, that's only because some people incredibly do not understand that that we all have the freedom to peacefully express our political opinions, and because people like you make excuses for the idiots who have either never read the 1st Amendment or are intellectually unable to understand it and lack the ability to control their emotions.

In my opinion the girls were assaulted. Once a battery occurs (and a battery did occur) after aggressive postures and language, its very likely that such aggressive postures and language constitute an assault.

Dude, your race doesn't make your opinion any more authentic or your argument any more valid.
