Maybe you should ask the black people at the college why its so provocative. And don't say it's about Charlottesville because we both know that these people would have reacted just as angrily if this had happened three weeks ago.

I would put the same standard on a black person wearing a 'Kill Whitey' shirt.

Just seems like a total lack of class and empathy on the part of the "White Girls." Trying to incite violence? These are different times; show some class. Why were they touring the campus anyway?

Read the article in full.

"One of the high school guests, in a social media post of her own, said they were simply visiting the school’s cafeteria to get food as part of a larger tour of the nation’s capital, and faced a barrage of insults and aggressive acts, including having their hat stolen and being told" ‘‘F*** y’all.â€

A bunch of narcissist ladies who thought it would be fun to provoke in order to get attention, that's who. They knew what they were doing, and can feign ignorance and turn it back on those who got upset.

I don't see an issue here, I have seen blacks wear some pretty insightful/insulting T-shirts over the years.

I read article in full and it doesn't change my statement. They were trying to illicit a response and they got one. I'm also questioning the chaperones or leaders of the tour. They surely knew better. On the heels of white supremacy protests this week as just. It a good idea.

Is this where we're at in this country?
You would think that the KKK just marched through their campus by the reaction.
It's a good thing that they're being exposed to new ideas and being enlightened through higher education

For the umpteenth time freedom of speech ≠ freedom from consequences. They knew what they were doing.

These kids learned an important lesson. Don't go into a "university" that embraces racism and indoctrinates students to be hate mongers and expect to be treated as equals.
