Well, if you aren't entertained when I point out all the ridiculous outrage by members of the left, place me on ignore. My feelings won't be hurt, I'm a conservative.
There was no outrage. It was a precaution. What's next? You're going start several threads about plane delays due to potential wet surfaces???!!!!
Why do the Right always have to take things out of context??
.
I heard this straight off, first story when I clicked on the news this morning. ohhhhh. Give me coffee first please. They said the name is spelled differently but didn't say how. Racist. It's the omnipotent bogeyman that lives and breathes in everything we see or do. The USC horse is also white (Lees mare was a dapple grey Saddlebred) I don't know what breed he is but he's a good lookin" sumbuck. I suppose that his color also smacks of racist intent. If he was black being ridden by a White rider SLAVERY!!! Oddly the picture I saw of this horse he had a Black rider on him.
That this is just beyond daffy I believe we should all be able to agree on, though I doubt all will agree. Being a horseman I can say that a horses name usually defines some trait of the animal. A specific and endearing (sometimes maybe not so endearing) personality trait. Had one once named Farmer. Because at some point during the day he was going to plant me. The USC critter looks like he (don't look like a mare) could cover some ground in a hurry, so his name doesn't strike me out of character.
Lee named his favorite mount (she wasn't his only horse) thus because she had carried him over many long miles with perfect poise. My cavalry horse was named Lady. Because she was just that and more. I suppose that's sexist? Give it a rest already. Is this a new mental disease? Causasiaphobia? It seems to be very contagious so maybe it's a pathogen. Whatever it is it's an ugly bugger. It seems to be confined to a specific small group so far so maybe the CDC can contain it before DHS has to be brought in.
I don't think the poster is a troll. Just making the point by using sarcasm that the anti Confederacy actions have gone extreme in some cases. A bit of humor as well. That being said I think Pedro is wrong.
Yes, some innocuous symbols might get caught up in the sweep but by removing the Jim Crow symbolism that all these mass-produced Confederate power figures represent it can be a unifying step in the right direction. And I came to this conclusion only after understanding how and why these statues were put up. So what if some round the edges silliness occurs. The main thrust is a good thing for our country.
I actually couldn't care less if statues of Confederates are removed as long as the decision is that of the communities.
I can actually see how they would be offensive to a segment of citizens.
I do believe it is NOW an issue due to Trump being in office. It's part of the "racism" dog whistling that some of the left is utilizing out of desperation.

I don't think the horse should be euthanized. I think the ESPN announcer, Robert Lee should be hired to RIDE Traveler (change name to two LL's, Traveller), at all the USC games. This would compensate for his poor treatment by ESPN.
sounds like a capital idea

no, but i do think they need to go back to their original programming, instead of being the entertainment and socialist progressive network
