I've never heard or seen even one thing that would lead me to believe Sessions is anti-immigration and my parents are immigrants. Oh, you must mean anti illegal immigration. That's another ball game.
Please refer to the following op-ed letter by Jeff Sessions, dated 09 April 2015 - well before the formal announcement of the Trump campaign:
Fair enough, but Sessions is anti-immigration, period. He's a known advocate for reducing the flow of legal immigrants into the US, regarding immigration itself - however fully legally - as having been excessive, and on the whole deleterious to American society.
Illegal immigration is an easy target, because the very act presupposes committing a crime, or at least in the case of DACA, a crime having been committed on behalf of the children in question. Immigration itself is a harder target, being in some sense foundational to the American experience itself. But Sessions and his ilk have visceral discomfort in American society hosting newcomers - even if those newcomers file the requisite paperwork, wait their turn, register, and follow the legal path to citizenship.
Being FOR sensible immigration does not make one "anti-immigration". Just because Sessions and others want to reduce current levels to what prior levels were isn't necessarily a bad thing unless one is for completely uncontrolled immigration, then I guess it's racist...
I don't agree with much that Trump does but on DACA he has a legitimate approach, Obama just kicked the can down the road for the next POTUS, so it's Trump's problem now. I think he's put the issue in the laps of Congress, that's where it was always supposed to be because that's their job.
You have to understand just how much the average C-D cultist hates the "establishment", hates "globalism" and despises the thought of a future minority-majority America, although the certitude of that ultimate eventuality has been self-evident for decades.
Not a cultist, but I don't like the establishment Republicans, nor the Democrats because they have become so corrupt. Blatantly so. Also, why should I like statism or "globalism". I went to be represented by the people I have a choice in electing, and a government that I pay for. Not some nameless faceless U.N. corrupt bureaucrat who just wants to line his pockets with man made climate change money.
why don't these CEOs ever tweet out things like they are committed to hiring Americans instead of outsourcing their jobs? Where is their sense of patriotism when it comes to the 300 other million Americans?
And before you say their primary focus is on the bottom line, I doubt the support for Dreamers significantly effect their profits either.
Not surprising given the TV News can't even get there crawler spelling right (drives me crazy) and Newspapers can't, even WITH editors get many of their artikles spelled correcly...
