Teacher should have been promoted, not fired. And the teacher was actually quite restrained in his actions compared to what other teachers have done in past. Young punks these days have zero concept of respect for elders and rules.

The teacher, who was a substitute at Golden Valley High School, got into an argument with a student that turned physical during 5th period on March 24th.

The clip, which was taken by another student in the classroom, was posted on Twitter with the caption “Justified? Merced, CA High School Teacher gets Fired after defending himself from a Student who wanted the 1 on 1…”

Corporal punishment is used for shock value. This kid was put in a headlock. The next will be something more extreme.

That being said kids need more discipline.

Where to start.

1. There should be no such thing as latchkey kids until 7th or 8th grade. Parents can’t reinforce punishment if they are at work.

2. Parents should be held accountable for kids behavior. Even better also hold the parents employer accountable.kids aren’t doing well in school and parents working too much? Employers taxes go up.

Screw that. These are kids in words only. Want to throw down? You need to find a new school.

Maybe we can just kick unruly kids out of the classroom.
There can be a time out room, lol. Begone! Go talk to the 'counselors'.

And if they don't wanna leave, call the police to escort them out.

If Parents don't raise their kids, the streets will.

Have fun in that revolving door.

This is where I think it would be cool if teachers were armed.

The odds of the teacher ever using their firearm to kill a school shooter or any kind of intruder are miniscule.

But whipping that puppy out to straighten up some unruly or smart aleck kid would be a daily occurrence all across the country. And probably would be pretty effective as well.

Kids in name only. Exactly. In their minds they are gangster. Not much one can do if they don't want or behave. The kid has a big time attitude. I doubt it's just this teacher but anyone who represents authority. But to see how quick this turned physical or almost turned into a full fledged fight UFC style is disturbing.

I hope the local union or lawyer gets this teacher's job back. There's alot of things teachers do wrong or should be fired for this is not one of them.

I've seen dozens of these types of videos. It makes me sick to see what the newest generation is going to be like. It use to be kids had respect or got in trouble. Now kids act like animals and the the teacher gets fired. What is happening? I never came close to witnessing something like this in my day, or my kids for that matter.
