ha. Good thread. These antifa idiots are just some of the tools used to destroy the unity of people in this country. Divided we fall. We all have to come together.
We are not enemies.
But we are conditioned to believe that we are, over and over and over.

In order for the government and powers that be to maintain it's overwhelming, overreaching power, "we the people" must remain WEAK.

I think it's fairly certain that our current divisiveness has absolutely NOTHING to do with AntiFa - just as Trump is not the force ruining or dividing the country.
BOTH are the RESULTS of disunity. It's really the next Civil War, although unlikely to break out into a military conflict.
The only hope is really...as others have noted...to wait until certain generations die off and hope that future citizens are more decent. There is NO WAY to change Authoritarians - that is a well known fact. Even societies that wish to (or are forced to) change - like postwar Germany, had to have a new generation or two to "learn" most of the lessons.
In the USA our problem is that we don't learn from experience. That is the very definition of intelligence and we obviously don't have it. Look at Texas - teaching NOW that the Civil War was not due to slavery. Their same schoolbooks are used by many other states - assuring us of internal conflict for another generation or two.
Until we come to the very basic agreements like "Slavery is bad" and "Confederates were traitors to our United States", it will be very hard to have unity.
If you have such a righteous message have the courage of your convictions to come out without a mask. But then don't be surprised at the consequences of your actions. No matter your agenda, be it white supremacy or anti-fascism or whomever's lives matter. Let us see you and then we'll decide based on your actions. If you are violent then you have no place in polite society.

And I agree with you on corporations that do nefarious things. But this thread is not about those situations. Start a new one if you want to discuss that because it appears you are condoning the behavior by deflecting.
Refuse to lose the mask, you get to be a guest of the police for the duration of whatever they want to protest. This will cut the violence down by a huge margin.

The irony is that the tactics used by the leftist/anarchists to shame or publicize who the KKK/Nazi's are, will likely be used against them. Thus they hide their identities so as to not be held accountable for their own actions.
I was listening to an interview of a "former" Black Bloc anarchist, and when asked if covering ones face was the right thing to do, he dropped pretenses of being a neutral/reformed person by saying "hell yes, because you do not want to go to jail".
Needless to say no one is going to jail unless they commit crimes. But that is what they typically do by attacking LEO's and damaging property. These thugs have been doing it for years at G20 summits, all in the cause of protesting capitalism.
Just like the KKK was banned from wearing their face hoods in public, so to should any protester be prohibited from going to large public events wearing total face coverings. You want to assemble freely and express your point of view fine, the Constitution gives you that right. But don't try to use the freedoms given to you for free speech, to intend on committing crimes by covering your face. Thugs on both sides should be prohibited from covering their faces.
Additionally, allowing them to carry weapons is absurd, as this will only lead to significant injury or death. You do not need a baseball bat as something to attach a protest sign to.
It will not be long before someone stabs or shoots someone from the opposing side.
Heck I was speaking with a guy who is law abiding CCW holder a few weeks back, and he said he would shoot anyone attacking him. While I understand his view, to me, he should avoid "rallies" or gatherings that will likely devolve into riots.
His view is that he has the right to assemble just like they do, and to counter their view with his own. So if these fools looking for trouble run into a guy like him, they are going to wind up in the eR and/or morgue. So the cities/states need to get hold of this now, rather than wait until people are killed and things really devolve.
That is what these anarchists/Black Bloc types want anyway, and infiltrating Antifa (or being one in the same) is only allowing cover by the useful idiot snowflakes.
