I just love seeing the law applied and executed. I've visited corrupt countries before and, while it's fun for a visit, it would absolutely suck to live in such a place.
Unfortunately yes. You will have to pay some lazy american kids more money to do less work. Heck just this last weekend I spent 20 bucks to hire my 10 year old son and his friend to pull weeds... They did less than a illegal mexican but for more money. I felt robbed.

You must not get out of the house much. The reality is, if every illegal alien were suddenly picked up and gone from America, lots and lots of businesses would fail, and so would a lot of State economies. These people are not "taking our jobs", I haven't seen one of them sitting at a desk next to mine, they are doing jobs Americans are too good and too damn lazy to perform.
If you truly are concerned about a healthy business environment, you would realize there would be a major collapse if these people were not here to contribute to it.
Most illegals are doing blue-collared jobs that Americans have always done for a fair wage. Since when have Americans been too lazy to do construction, landscaping, restaurant, hotel work, etc.? Who were doing those jobs before millions of cheap illegals flooded our border? Did they get done all by themselves?
The Government is responsible both for upending peoples lives by snatching them up, and allowing this to happen in the first place. Past administrations (GOP and Dem) ignored border enforcement and rigorous enforcement of hiring rules.
So the little people (working class American citizens) were hurt on one hand by low cost illegal labor, and now on the other, more little people, working illegal immigrants, most of who are doing nothing malicious or illegal other than things that the government has not been doing anything to control, are hurt. All because the government refused to enforce the law based on lobbying by big business and Latino activist groups.
This is why some people support "comprehensive" immigration reform. Because they don't want people who are doing nothing malicious to be deported out of the blue and have their lives destoryed, but they also want our immigration system to gain some integrity and control. So, you slam the border shut, stop illegal hiring, and allow everyone currently here an amnesty period to make themselves official so they get work cards and pay taxes.
Nope! No more amnesties. Americans need their jobs backs and rewarding law breakers only encourages more law breaking. They need to return to their homelands and apply to come back legally just as legal immigrants do. No jumping ahead of the line. We allow in 1 million legal immigrants a year. Allowing millions of illegals to remain here negates those sane quotas.
The fact is that if you are breaking the law, you leave yourself vulnerable to circumstances such as this.
Sad the family is gone... but there was a risk taken. With the randomness of how the law is applied, you just never know when your number will be called.
Best option... don't break the law. You want to keep your family together... don't break the law.
More than likely there were a high number of employees with flagged SS numbers or illegals being paid under the table. If there is a SS number mismatch or complaints about fraudulent SS number use in big numbers at one business ICE steps in. A similar thing happened in Tucson a few years back. They arrested the American owners of the restaurants.

There is NO way to get rid of 10 million (or whatever it is) people. None. Impossible. So you can be realistic or allow the problem to continue.

You do it by whatever means necessary. Any business or industry that suffers as a result will learn that the law is actually a serious thing.
