Trump Received Ellis Island Award in 1986

"No one accused Donald Trump of being a racist until he decided to run for president and became a threat to Hillary Clinton’s return to power."
In 1986, Trump joined several other prominent Americans, such as Rosa Parks and Muhammad Ali, as recipients of an “Ellis Island Award.”

Bush, McCain, Romney all were accused of being "racist" when running for potus. Pretty pathetic at this point if anyone believes any leftist accusations.

I guess that they didn't know about the federal lawsuits against him for discrimination, or perhaps (since this was the first year for Ellis Island awards) he wrote them a big check out of his public relations budget.

Major Landlord Accused of Antiblack Bias in City,” the headline stated. The Department of Justice had brought suit in federal court in Brooklyn against Mr. Trump and his father, Fred C. Trump, charging them with violating the Fair Housing Act of 1968 in the operation of 39 buildings.

“The government contended that Trump Management had refused to rent or negotiate rentals ‘because of race and color,’ ” The Times reported. “It also charged that the company had required different rental terms and conditions because of race and that it had misrepresented to blacks that apartments were not available.”

They settled.

When Trump ran for president, we learned that not only he was a racist, but a lot of our friends and neighbors were closet racists as well.

It is out of the leftist/liberal PC playbook to try and label someone ____ist or ___phobe in an effort to destroy them, and it has been going on since the Democrats found it worked.
If nothing else, you can thank Trump for having exposed PC for what it is, and hopefully causing it to become but a bad memory in American history.

Keep up your cries of racism based on your own liberal perspective. All it does is create the atmosphere of Aesop's fable where people will just ignore all the false alarms.

And Woodie Guthrie wrote a song about his father Fred being a racist.

Donald Trump also was a regular on Howard Stern making lewd and crude comments in 1986.

But we keep hearing from his following that what happened 30 years ago doesn't matter. ]

In fact after the Access Hollywood scandal, we heard that what happened 10 years ago doesn't matter. (Of course, that only applies to Trump--everyone else is held responsible for their actions going back to the 70s.) He's the double standard-in-chief.
