I can agree with this.

So that means all these people go to jail. I'm good with it.

Using a private email account, even a private server was common practice at ten years ago. As I recall, Collin Powell did so. Many Bush officials used a private server set up by the RNC.

Easy to understand. Government servers can be troublesome and seem to be hacked on a regular basis.

Rs threw a three yard fit over Clinton doing this. Yammered about it endlessly. FBI investigated and determined that there was no crime to be prosecuted here.

I realize this was a disappointment to some.

But however murky the situation might have been with this fairly common practice, there was no question that using a private server, or a private email account does not comply with government regulations on data collection.

There is no mystery about this.

They were conducting government business on private accounts. So they need to hand over those records.

"She/he did it too," only works up until about 1st grade.

Isn't this what they're asking for?

The corruption in the white house is flagrant and yet the Republicans remain silent.

Meanwhile Trump creates yet another enemy to keep the press occupied instead of focusing on what's really going on in the white house.
The right has now decided it's OK to use personal email to do Govt. business. Cannot believe how much I am laughing at them right now.

That's not the new standard... Trump's lawyers have to sort, print, and BleachBit them first.

Ok then those listed in the OP should be investigated not automatically locked up.

IMO Hillary was so guilty. Anyone deleting that many emails is hiding something big.

I've read Trump's lawyers assurances that the various staff members are following the government standards. Of course when Clinton's lawyers made the same claims they were not accepted and all the emails whether private or not were demanded to be produced.

So Trump's administration if we are going to follow the same standards should also provide all their emails to the various investigators.
