For those still yammering about how Trump isn't waiving the 1920 Jones Act as he did for Texas and Florida because they already had plenty of fuel -- BS.

His own words call out this a lie:

It is not as if the northern power companies can drive down to help, like they could on the mainland.
I have a friend that is a native there, living in Florida, and he took his own boat down to check on his family, and he says they have huge generators up and are starting to work on the electricity, and have most of the hospitals in his family's area up and running on generators. But, he does admit that the infrastructure or Puerto Rico is poor, and the leaders are already working with the government about what they can do to upgrade their problems.

I heard him say that yesterday, and couldn't believe my ears. He is a vile, vile man.

But at least he's taking away the right not to stand during the national anthem.

And of course the nearby US Virgin Islands have a permanent waiver of the Jones Act. Wonder what shipping companies had to say about that.

Just now heard that he agreed to waive it. No supporting links yet, will update.

I have a feeling he took some heat for his comments yesterday about why he was hesitating.

Okay, here are a few. Look portion "Trump jones act on Twitter," right below the first three photos.

The reason behind a weak infrastructure, or at least the portion of it in private hands, but subject to regulation, can often be laid at the door of populist politicians who held the rates down for political reasons. Not saying that is necessarily the case here, but anyone who claims it never happens is either fooling him/herself, or lying outright.

the whimpering will never stop, he could cure cancer and they'd complain, it's fun to watch them act out.
