I was under the impression w/out it being done, price gouging would be inevitable / already started.

If not for 'media pressure' it would not have happened. It's a win for everyone except people that refuse to see how inept Don is.
Oh come on. Trump is smarter than you could ever give him credit for. He knows it won't make any difference, but put the waiver in place just to shut up liberals and the media. Nothing lost for him in doing so and he stopped most of the whining about the issue. It makes him look better and gives the left one less thing to falsely scream about. It's kind of like shutting up a spoiled little brat having a tantrum by giving it a piece of candy.

The communication is down in Puerto Rico.. No one knows where to get help. Here in Florida we had many men from around the country getting the power back. They worked double shifts to get it done.

Every night on the local channels here , there are newscasts telling the harder hit areas people where to get food and water. They need clothes and removal of furniture and sheet rock. Some homes were condemned . It is not an easy road back to normal living for many.

Many were without power and it is very hot and humid. Generators were hard to find. It has gotten back to normal for many, but many are still struggling.

Puerto Rico must be a nightmare. Cell phone towers are down. They must rethink how they can communicate when something this devastating happens on an island.I don't think with all the planning in the world it would go smoothly.

Trump could have sent in the Military from day one and he waited 8 days to appoint a General to handle the logistics in PR and lift the Jones Act.
His obsession with the NFL was more of a priority.
If you really want to see what is going on in PR turn off your MSM American media which only provides a few minutes of reports and watch Univision to witness the real suffering going on.

Univision is the Spanish version of CNN. They hate Trump. Maybe go look at the FEMA and DOD websites.

And it would have done no good to try to ship in supplies when the ports were unusable and the airport was unusable .

It seems like the only one satisfied with the response to PR is Trump himself.
Thanks for making excuses for the orange one.
